You are warmly invited to join us for dinner along with our after dinner speaker, Mail on Sunday Novel Competition winner Isabel Ashdown, as she talks about her critically acclaimed novel, Glasshopper.

After a 3-course meal in the delightful surroundings of The Old Town Hall, Isabel Ashdown will discuss her writing and her journey into publication, before opening up the floor to audience questions.  It promises to be a fabulous evening of fine food and engaging conversation, in support of vital children’s charity The National Association for Children Of Alcoholics.

  

Every guest will receive a free copy of "Glasshopper" and Isabel's second novel "Hurry Up & Wait" will be available to purchase on the evening from Waterstones, who are supporting this event.

More about Isabel Ashdown
In 2008 she was named as winner in the Mail on Sunday Novel competition, and her debut novel Glasshopper went on to be twice named as one of the best books of 2009 by the London Evening Standard and the Observer Review.

Her second novel Hurry Up and Wait, was released in June 2011, and was named as one of Amazon’s Top 100 ‘Customer Favourites in 2011′.
She is currently working on her third book.

Glasshopper and Hurry Up and Wait are published in the UK by Myriad Editions, and in Germany by Eichborn.  She is represented by Kate Shaw at the Viney Agency.
